Journeyman Electrician
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to support our foreman in the field. A Journeyman Electrician with SCI will do much of what you would do working for an electrical contractor, but with SCI you will also be able to learn instrumentation, controls and programming.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Construct Electrical Panels with the help of Electrical Schematics and Panel Layout Drawings
- Machine Electrical Enclosures and Panels with the help of power tools and milling machine
- Layout, Cut and Machine Aluminum Extrusion in order to install safety guarding for Machines
- Perform Electrical and Pneumatic hookups and route necessary wires and hoses
- Create parts drawings and update electrical drawings as needed
- Design and construct small part holding fixtures and machine components as needed
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- High school degree or equivalent
- Basic oral and written communication skills
- 4 years relevant work experience required
- Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools
- AutoCad experience a plus
- IT networking experience a plus
- Machining experience helpful
- Experience with automation instrumentation preferred
- Must be self-motivated and be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
