Automation Technician

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to support our foreman in the field.  The Field Automation Technician is an entry level position responsible for installing and troubleshooting automation equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

  • Construct Electrical Panels with the help of Electrical Schematics and Panel Layout Drawings
  • Machine Electrical Enclosures and Panels with the help of power tools and milling machine
  • Layout, Cut and Machine Aluminum Extrusion in order to install safety guarding for Machines
  • Perform Electrical and Pneumatic hookups and route necessary wires and hoses
  • Create parts drawings and update electrical drawings as needed
  • Design and construct small part holding fixtures and machine components as needed

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Basic oral and written communication skills
  • 2 years relevant work experience preferred
  • Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools
  • AutoCad experience a plus
  • Electrical, pneumatic, or IT networking experience a plus
  • Machining experience helpful
  • Experience with automation machinery preferred
  • Must be self-motivated and be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions
